I know for a fact that if SY and SJ were brothers they would plan so many childish wars and schemes, literally planning the next nuclear bomb (ice water bucket) to drop on the other. They got the Cain instinct 90x.

But somehow, that Shen Jiu is softer, kinder, in a way.

He’s still snarky, petty, and (by Shen Yuan’s words;) a massive scumbag, but its pretty clear that Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan love and care about each other a lot. They don’t need to say it outright to validate that.

Shen Jiu wonders sometimes of what would’ve happened to him, if the world answered his kindness with pain, if all his hard-work amounted to nothing but suffering, if his prayers for someone to just love him and to just stay with him went unanswered,

If Shen Yuan weren’t around at all.

He doesn’t dare think of that world, a world without his annoying Shen Yuan and his Qi-ge.
